I am spending the evening with my 12-year-old niece and nephew so that my sister and her husband can go out and celebrate. We're doing some simple things that 'tweens' love to do - pizza, soda, and a chocolate fondue with fruit, graham crackers, angel food cake and marshmallows for dipping. (As you can see, Bailey was also very interested in the fondue - she was limited to just a couple pieces of banana without chocolate, however.) For the kids, it's all about staying up late and watching the New Year's Eve music specials, MTV, etc. For me, I'm just counting the minutes until midnight so I can down my glass of sparkling cider and go to bed! New Year's Eve
